Headmistress/Head of School's Message

Lake Castle Private School is a school that was founded on one basic principle: true knowledge is the application of theory. Our primary goal in education is to turn out young men and women who can change the world by coming up with new ideas, but we also see to it that they establish the fundamental knowledge and discipline to turn those ideas into reality.

There are not many schools left that are willing to say they are traditional, conservative, and protective. Not only are we willing to say it; we are proud to. Being traditional and conservative are excellent qualities to have in a school. Teaching children the importance of a good work ethic and providing them with the foundation of a solid education places them in good stead for success in the future. In addition, the focus of the Lake Castle curriculum is the basic subject areas: math, literature, English, science, social studies, vocabulary, computer skills, and an optional religion program. We have many organizations and clubs that develop enrichment skills, such as chess, drama, chorus, and athletics; but the mainstay of our curriculum remains primary areas.

Although we offer an accelerated academic program to over 750 students, our faculty and staff offer a loving and nurturing environment for our children. Boys and girls always have someone to turn to in both ordinary and extraordinary situations, and there is a sense of family on our campus. Furthermore, our students are educated in an environment that is safe, wholesome, and patriotic. We hope Lake Castle's ideals are an extension of those embraced in our students' homes.

Above all else, at Lake Castle we give highest priority to developing in our students the one quality that marks true success: integrity. It is impossible to make a positive difference in the world if one is willing to sacrifice his character to get ahead. Honesty, respect, leadership, and generosity are the attributes that mark a true man or woman; and we aspire to develop those traits in all our children.

At Lake Castle, we are traditional. We are conservative, and we are protective. We embrace students' differences and encourage them to achieve their full potential. We are proud to make our mark on the world by helping our graduates make theirs.
