In the fall of 1963, Clendon J. Butera and T.J. Whittaker founded Lake Castle Private School in New Orleans. The private elementary school quickly gained a reputation as a place where a quality education could be had at an affordable price. Today, as a result of a continuing dedication to educational excellence, there are, in addition to the original New Orleans campus, Lake Castle Private Schools in Slidell and Madisonville, Louisiana.
